Darkness held me captive
A web of sin within me active
A prisoner to my own mind
Chains locked me in a bind

Morning never brought with it light

I wanted it all to go away

Worthlessness plagued my thoughts
I'd forgotten my sin You bought

I couldn't find joy or peace

When I couldn't find You, You came to me
You loosened my chains and set me free
